To consume raw is not necessary to remove the seeds. It can be eaten directly from the fruit, once opened, or used in salads, contemporary cuisine much appreciated at the salad greens, which taste slightly acidic offers a surprising combination. Also the flower can be used in salads, it is perfectly edible and tasty, but depending on the variety may have a slight sedative effect.
